hello; when your using notepad, 1, make sure screen is maximized, 2, make sure wordrap is checked in the format options,

I'm no expert on Word but in some programs the program itself can be maximized (Alt+Space, X) but the document itself also has to be maximized (Alt+Minus, X). Whether this applies to Word I don't know. It's probably wellknown that Notepad always comes up in the Restored state so has to be maximized every time it's run.
