Hi, Andre. You might be able to temporarily silence them through the
configuration menu in JAWS. You would reach the configuration menu with the
key combination Insert plus the number six on the numbers row. Then you
would enter User Options and set progress bar announcements to none.
The drawback for this is that other percentage announcements would also be
silenced. So you would need to turn them on again when finished with the
podcast.
If losing speech entirely is not a problem, you can turn it off with the key
combination:
Insert plus the space bar, then the key S.
To turn speech on again, you would press the same key combination as above
to toggle speech.

Subject: PODCAST % complete announcements.
Does anyone know how to silence PODCAST % complete announcements? I found
the % complete slider bar in the FireFox menu and clicked mute. But %
complete announcements still ring out. Any ideas what to do? Or is
silencing % complete not a possibility. Would really like to know.
Thanks
