I've always found that a weakness in Word. An Excel spreadsheet can put you right where you left off. Word processors like DisplayWrite and WordPerfect hat that capability in the 1980's, so why couldn't a big-time program like Word do the same? Futzing around with bookmarks is okay, but more effort than should be required.
