Hi Brad,

Until last night I also thought Adobe Connect was not accessible. I had some
time to explore prior to my webinar, and I found a couple of things. If you
hit the space bar on any of the menus, you will enter a menu bar. You can
use left and right arrows to find the menus and up and down arrows for the
submenus. In the help menu I found a list of short-cut keys. I was able to
find the edit box for the chat. I was also able to find the content area and
even read the slides. I don't remember what the keys were now, but I know I
have more webinars coming up. The next time I take one, I'll try to paste
the short-cuts into a document. Then I'll paste them into an email message
and post them here. That is, if it's ok with the moderator. Hope this helps.

Subject: Adobe Connect or Webex

As a small part of my job, I occasionally have to attend webinars. The
hosting organization has heard my concerns regarding Adobe Connect, and
they're genuinely interested in helping me if they can switch to a more
accessible solution.

I didn't have any trouble using Adobe Connect to access the webinar. I
could hear it just fine. But I couldn't use the chat feature, which is
the way they offered for asking questions. I couldn't even find the
chat box in Adobe Connect.

They have asked me if Webex is any better to use for this purpose, and I
don't know the answer to that. Because the National Disability
Institute uses it, I would hope that it is, but I have no experience
with Webex. Can anyone tell me if you've had any luck using it with
JAWS? I have JAWS 15 and Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit. As a side question, I
used Adobe Connect the other day with Firefox; would I have had better
luck with Internet Explorer and Adobe Connect?

Thanks,
Brad Martin
