I cannot tell for sure, but the initial message sounds like the person is
running the update directly from the FS web site, instead of first
downloading it to the computer, as described in the follow-up message below.
As a general rule when installing software or updates thereto, download the
install program and run it from the computer. There are rare cases where a
given program specifically wants to be run from the web site, but in those
rare cases, the instructions will clearly tell you to do it that way. So
unless you are told otherwise, download first!

Hi.
This occasionally happens to me too.
I just go to the freedom scientific site, and download a full version of the
updated jaws and install it.

Subject: Jfw update Problem
I am using JFW 15, and I have been prompted that there has been a new update
released.
However, I go to update, and I inevitably get the message Certain
Components have failed to update. Therefore, the update is never completely
finished or executed.
