Hi Jason. Very interesting question.

I use notepad for general use, and textpad for more complicated needs.
Notepad comes with your windows system, and you'll have to google textpad
for their site.
Textpad is sort of free, if you can live with a guilty conscience. They
don't nag much.

I don't have any scripts for either editor. And, I've never felt the need
for any.
They both have pretty good help systems.

Subject: Recommended text editors?

Hello all,

What text editors do you recommend for their accessibility and features?
I’m planning to edit text files, HTML, JavaScript, probably other
programming languages, LaTeX, XML and so on.

I’ve used Emacs frequently under Linux, as well as Vi/Vim, but I’m
unfamiliar with the text editor options under MS-Windows.

Whatever I choose needs to be well supported by JAWS, naturally enough (or I
wouldn’t be asking on this list).

Suggestions appreciated.

One out of 10 people understand binary: those who do, and those who don't.
