Hello Barbra what you do to get the function commans to work is key to right
of control with jaws key then press the function key. I do not recall what
key that is to the right of the control key. Thanks, Tom

Hello list friends,
I recently purchased a new computer and need some advice. The computer is a
Dell laptop, Inspiron 15.6 with 1 TB hard drive and 8 gigs. Also has
IntelI5.
I purchased it through our Staples store and opted for them to transfer
files from my old pc, download JAWS and Microsoft Office 2010. I think all
of this went farely well.
My problem involves some features using JAWS16. By the way, I am using
Windows 8.1. The laptop also has the desktop keyboard. There are several
features using the function keys that do not seem to be working, Ex. The
"insert" plus F7 for getting to links, the f12 with the "insert" for telling
time etc. Also on the "numpad", I always have to turn off the "numpad on/off
key. Is there a way to solve this problem, am I missing something, any
suggestions would be much appreciated.
