Hello Excellers,
I tried this for entertainment, and received the comments "Ref has formula"
or "Name has formula"; What would I enter to receive the actual number of
the sum, please?
Cheers Kevin.

If you are adding two cells of one sheet & showing the total in another
sheet, the sheet name should precede both the cell references.
The formula should be =+'Sheet 1'!E6+'Sheet 1'!E9

Subject: Formulas in excel.
Your excel knowledge is needed!
I'm trying to link cells from one worksheet to another and at the same time
add the values of cells on that first work sheet reflected as a sum on sheet
2.
So.what I have so far is:
=+'sheet 1'!e6+e9
It shows the value of e6 on sheet 2 but doesn't add e9 to it. How do I get
the formula to add the contents of e6 and e9 from sheet 1?
As always, many thanks to all of you.
