I'm considering using these pivot tables, but don't know how to go about them
either. In a specific example, I have my vinyl albums catalogued in Excel. For
instance, A7 through A24 is all the same artist, but column B is each album
title. Is there a way to move through the data to where you get the name of the
artist, and then a down arrow moves past all the other albums to the next
artist, unless you perform some command to expand the artist category? Is this
what pivot tables are used for? Perhaps it may show the artist and their first
album, or maybe just the artist name as a category heading. I fiddled with
group and outline, but that only hid entire rows without showing the artist
name in column A. Any suggestions?
Matthew
