Hello,

Here is some info that you might find helpful:
Subject: blind in medical billing and coding

Hello,

Do contact my colleague Detra Bannister [email protected], who oversees
some of our CareerConnect employment program, www.afb.org/cc. The web site
contains a wealth of information about employment for visually impaired job
seekers as well as employers who are interested in hiring someone with a
disability. A huge section of the site is our mentor database where you can
search for blind people living across the country who are employed in the
medical billing and coding careers. And, do ask Detra for assistance in
locating some if need be.

Also, for textbooks, have you tried Bookshare, www.bookshare.org? It's free
to students and has a lot of textbooks. Do you know about Learning Ally,
www.learningally.org? I'm guessing so, since you mentioned having audio
books.

Subject: Medical coding software.

Hey there. I was wondering does anybody know whether JAWS works with
medical coding software? I am thinking about going back to school to become
certified as a coder and am trying to find this out before I jump into it.
Thanks.

Karen
