That you are having the problems you mention is discouraging indeed. On this list, several months back, I asked almost exactly the same question, albeit for Windows 7, an earlier version of JAWS (the then current version), and Excel 2010. The nearly unanimous view was that the JAWS instructions worked fine in Excel 2003, but would not work in Excel 2010. We were told that Freedom Scientific was aware of the problem. That you are encountering almost identical problems in a newer operating system, in a newer version of Excel, and with a newer version of JAWS is less than inspiring. Excel is a crucial mainstream application, and the function you have described, naming column headers, is vital. Freedom Scientific has known about this problem for way longer than it should have taken to fix it. Very discouraging.

I believe I have followed the instructions for naming column titles with JAWS, *not using control-alt-insert-c. I want to be able to save-as my document and have the column title announcement carry to the new document. if someone has made this work, please send me step-by-step instructions. I think I am step-by-stepping according to the JAWS training materials, but my column titles are not being announced. Thanks, Ann _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list [email protected] http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com _______________________________________________ Jfw mailing list [email protected] http://lists.the-jdh.com/mailman/listinfo/jfw_lists.the-jdh.com
