NO need to be limited to five results. In my experience, google is much faster
and more reliable than store websites and doesn't limit results. Using google
to find a product, I often identify the Amazon website followed by a colon and
space, then whatever search terms you would enter with Research It. So, if I
were interested in buying a chess set as a gift for a friend, and also wanted
to distinguish the game from some brand name, I'd type in the google search
field:
amazon.com: chess, games
I do the same thing when searching for NY Times book reviews. Say I wanted to
read reviews of Anthony Doerr's current best seller, I'd type:
nytimes.com/books: "anthony doerr", "all the light we cannot see"
Note the use of quotation marks to limit the results.

for products i use the research it in jaws. i find anything i ever want
on amazon with it. the only thing i don't like about it is that you only
get 5 results. i wish there was a way to tell it to display more.

I use it for all internet searches, save for product searches. (Though I'd
like to find a good alternative to Froogle for searching for products)

I once used ixquick for all my phone and local business lookups. It
seems they've made some changes and it just doesn't work the same any
more. Should I maybe try it again? Thanks.

Indeed, Ixquick is excellent. No cluttered results just does what
you ask
of it. Simple to install if any of you want to give it a go...

I'm a huge fan of Ixquick. It's completely blind accessible using
Jaws. I
also like the quality of the searches and the clarity of what I get.

Subject: search engines
Hi all,
Does anyone know of a search engine that works well with jaws
fourteen.
I have ask.com and I cannot find anything I want when doing a
search.
I get link after link that have nothing to do with what I am looking
for.
I remember once that there was a search enginge for the blind but do
not remember what it was or if it worked.
I use i.e. latest and windoweyes latest as well as firefox latest.
Still no matter what I use I just wind up frustrated.
Thanks,
David
