Hello. I am still running Windows XP until I can get a newer version of Windows. The problem I am having is that I am running Java7 with Internet Explorer8. I attempted to update Java, but Java version 8 says that it may not run correctly on my version of Windows.
When I go to the control panel and click Java, I can do an OCR on the screen, and I see the various controls for Java. When I click "Automatic Updates", it tells me that I have a warning, because I am attempting to turn off automatic updates. I want to turn them off. But once I get the warning, I can't see any OK control or Apply control. Java updates remain turned on. Has anyone figured out how to disable Java updates with JAWS and OCR? Thank you.
