Yes, insert-2. -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rex Leslie Howard, Jr. via Jfw Sent: Saturday, April 25, 2015 10:15 AM To: 'The Jaws for Windows support list.' Cc: Rex Leslie Howard, Jr. Subject: RE: Advice on changing speak characters to words in JAWS 16
Hey, Use insert plus the number two on the main keyboard. Don't use the number 2 key on the numeric keypad. You might be interested to know that Jaws has a keystroke command search feature in version 16. If you need to know the keystroke for doing something, you can now search Jaws for that keystroke. For instance, I can never seem to remember the "virtualize window" keystroke. I used to have to google it really quickly. Yesterday I needed that option so I used the keystroke insert+spacebar and then the letter j. I typed in the first few letters of virtualize and found the keystroke. It's insert+alt+windows key. Maybe I'll be able to remember it this time. -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of purcell via Jfw Sent: Saturday, April 25, 2015 6:28 AM To: [email protected] Cc: purcell Subject: Advice on changing speak characters to words in JAWS 16 Hi list I have just upgraded from JAWS 13 to 16 and notice quite a lot of changes. I am trying to change the default setting from speaking characters to words but unable to find this in any of the options. I would appreciate if someone could advise how I do this. Thanks in anticipation. Donna -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
