Ted, do you mean the auto preview? if not, please give me the keystrokes to turn off auto opening?

Also turn off the auto open feature, where the next message opens as soon as you delete the last one; bad guys love that!

I agree wholeheartedly with that change. I always also turn of the People Pane and the To Do Bar (if you don't use it).

JAWS contains a help topic for Outlook, which can be accessed by holding the JAWS key and pressing F1 twice quickly from within Outlook. JAWS help for Outlook contains a section on getting started with the program. One change I would recommend is turning off the reading pane for all mail folders, or at least for your inbox. While some users find this feature useful (because it allows them to preview messages without opening them), I don't like it because it marks my messages as "read" before I have a chance to read them, and the only way I've been able to resolve this issue is by setting the reading
pane to "off".

I’m starting a new job tomorrow, and will be using Outlook. Likely 2013. As I don’t use Outlook at home, I’m asking for any advice on what to turn on or
off in Outlook to make Jaws work best.Setting views, etc.
