Try using Control Panel to get to "Play all (I believe that's correct)." It'll give you options for playing about any digital media you care to name. You might want to take time to go through the various categories, set them up the way you want, and save your customizations. You're not locked in, as you would have been in earlier systems, short of a registry hack.
As stated earlier, I never used burn, and haven't used rip since changing OS's, although I've seen them both while looking for something else. I wish I could tell you the Microsoft "No Help" system would provide your answer, but, more often than not, those files are just plain pathetic.
