Hello everyone.
Is anyone here a member of the Internet Movie Database? Recently tried
to sign up so I could add ratings, reviews, and information on some
very obscure films. They have a pretty rigorous CAPTCHA system that
requires you to solve an image not only when you register, but on
EVERY SINGLE login. There's no alternative provided whatsoever.
I have slowly been making the switch over to firefox at home (I know,
late to the party, but there are just still certain things I don't
like about it even though it works better than iE for most things
these days), but I only access the net from home some of the time, and
elsewhere, iE is my only option. Has there *really* been no
development whatsoever in solving CAPTCHAs for Internet Explorer
screenreader users? I don't mean to sound like a bitter complainant,
but why hasn't Freedom Scientific made this a priority a long time ago?
I have access to JAWS 15 on the job, but not at home, unfortunately,
where I have to use either an old version (12) or NVDA. I was thinking
that surely when we upgraded to jAWS 15 at the workplace there'd be
some kind of CAPTCHA solution in place, but well, no such luck it seems.
How do people who only use IE deal with CAPTCHAs, anyway? This is a
problem that just doesn't seem to go away.
Sorry for the ramble; just feeling somewhat frustrated.
