Hi again, Mike. I don't know that this will work, but you might want to try 
removing the cookies for the domain:
google.com

You would do this in the following way:

1. Bring up google.com in IE.

2. Press the function key F12 to bring up the developer tools submenu.

3. Press the ALT key, and Right arrow over to Cache.

4. Down Arrow to Clear Cookies for Domain, and press Enter.

5. Close the browser, and reopen Google.com. See if this puts google back to 
its default state.
