Hi,
Your best bet would be to call customer service at freedom scientific and
see what they say for each individual case. Sometimes they run sales and
sometimes each individual situation is different. To make a blanket
statement regarding price and SMA and apply it to each JAWS user would be
highly inaccurate.

If you have jaws 16 and pass on 17 and buy jaws 18 does FS insist that you
buy, at full price, the version you missed?

Hi Ariel,

Unfortunately FS does not work that way. They don't allow you to jump from
J14 to J16 or J17 without paying for J15 as well. For example, let's say
you are using J12 & want to go to J16, you would have to purchase all the
SMA's up to the current version. That is why it's important to stay on top
of your SMA's, or it will be quite expensive to catch up. Being you are
currently at Jaws 14, you would have to pay full price for both J15 & J16,
each SMA consists of 2 upgrades, which will cost you $240.00 to catch up to
the current version of J16, $120.00 per version for the Home / Standard
edition. Then since you're wanting to upgrade to the J17 / J18 SMa & buying
it passed the discount deadline it would cost you the full price of $120.00
per version to get the J17 / J18 SMA, or a total of $240.00 for both. For
those that are current & have the J17 upgrade still remaining, if they buy
the SMA for J18 & J19 before the end of the year, for the Home / Standard
edition, the SMA for both J18 & J19 will cost $120.00 to get both versions.
If purchased after the end of year it costs' the full price of $120.00 per
version, so $240.00 to upgrade to the J18 / J19 SMA after the first of the
year. To be absolutely sure of what it will cost you or anyone else it
would be advised to call FS Sales at:

1-800-444-4443

Take care.
Mike

Hi Michael,
I am on JAWS 14 and I do not have anymore SMA upgrades available. How would
that work for me? Would I only get 16 and 17 if I renew my SMA now, or will
I get 17 and 18? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks, Ariel On 7/27/2015
