I'm getting no joy reading this screen either, even with the JAWS cursor or by virtualising the window.
The same thing happens in the Signature edit area of Outlook 2013, another multi-line edit area. But it doesn't happen in a similar edit control in the Automatic replies dialogue of Outlook 2013. One thing I have noticed is that, although you can't use Ctrl-A to select everything, then paste it elsewhere to check it, you can select it line by line with Shift + arrows. JAWS says nothing is being selected, and when you do Ctrl-C it says nothing is copied, but you can ignore these messages, because when you then paste it elsewhere, it's there. Weird, but it does give a way of checking what's in these areas.
