Thanks, Andre. The next time I'm at a combo box, I'll try spacebar to get in 
and escape to get out. As you know, there are different kinds of combo boxes 
that behave differently with JAWS.

I just hit the spacebar to open the combo list.  Hit enter on what I want or
escape to exit.  That's what I have seen on my machine.  The worst issue
Ihave with Chrome is that it is slow.  Hope this helps.

Alt-down arrow does nothing as a first key combination in the combo box I
just tried. It doesn't work until I first press enter. I handle combo boxes
by habit, so I can't be sure of this, but I think I always have to press
enter first and then alt-down arrow. I'll be curious how anyone using Chrome
handles combo boxes.

Alt-down arrow is supposed to open a combo box.  I wonder if you opened it
