Help with Outlook Express!

It's a long story but I will tell it all in my next  message... but I am
crying for help!  My OUtlook Express is all screwed up... how can I find my
old messages?  Every time I got on it, I can no longer find the old
messages.  they were NOT deleted.

What happened???
