There are things that run in the back ground that don't show up in the task
tray.

Subject: Possible solution for the end task problem
As I understand it, when you're installing software, end task will
shut down programs in the task tray as well as those on the task
bar. And the problem we have is that JFW users are only able to shut
down programs on the task bar. If this is not correct, please let me
know. If it is correct, I may have a solution.
Put the JAWS cursor on the task bar. This allows you to read both task
bar and task tray items. Place the JAWS cursor on a task tray icon and
right click. This brings up a menu where "close"
is almost always one of the options. You can use this method to shut
down most if not all of your task tray applications. You have to do
them one at a time, but at least you can do it.
Of course, there are other uses for end task, so we still need full
access.
