Hi all,

I'm attempting to write a script that will first go to the Display dialog box and then
go to the settings tab sheet and change the resolution from 640 by 480 to 800 by 600.
And, I want a second, similar, script that changes it back again. I approached it in
a couple of ways but discovered difficulties making the script get to this dialog box
from the control panel. So I put an icon to it on the desktop and assigned it a
shortcut key. I created the script in the explorer script file as doing so in the
default didn't
work, or I was simply not doing it correctly. This required the focus to be on the
desktop before running it, which isn't acceptable because it sort of defeates the
purpose
of having this be a task that can be performed with as few keystrokes as possible.
Ok. Allowing for having to minimize all aps first, I then attempted to just put the
required keystrokes in curly brackets. I tested along the way so I know they were
working to a point. But when I actually attempted to run the script from within the
Display dialog box it would only work intermittently. Another glitch here is that if
you make a script that runs when explorer.exe is the active app and that script needs
to
complete its work when another application, in this case run32dll.exe, is the current
application how do you do this?

I hope someone who isn't completely confused by my ramblings can offer some
assistance. I'd rather not have this task be two scripts just one for each switch
from one
resolution setting to the other.

Thanks in advance
