Is anyone having trouble using the JAWS Find function? I'm writing a set of
scripts for the Federal Express Shipping utility, and one of the items when
filling out the shipping label is "Services". This area isn't automatic,
and you have to hunt it down and click the mouse to bring up that
function--which will allow changing the shipping weight, package type,
method, etc.
At first, I put a frame around it and had a hotkey move to that frame and
click it. This worked for about 5 minutes, since that "Services" text isn't
stationary!<g> So I'm trying to invoke the FindString function, but keep
coming up with my generated "not found" message.
Just for kicks and giggles, I tried the Control+Insert+F Find function, and
entered the "Services" text. JFW gave me the Text not Found message, and
left me on the Ok button.
At that point, speech goes away! I can still move around, just with no
speech. I can recycle JFW with my Recycle shortcut, and speech will return,
but that speech loss after that find routine happens every time!
Has anyone else have this happen to them?
Any suggestions?
