That's not a problem. That's the way it's supposed to work. What do
you think "global" means? Any changes you make in the global settings
effect all the voices.

Subject: freaky global voice take over and more

1. I've just downloaded and installed the beta and am finding the
global
voice keeps taking over all other settings on the voice menu. When I
select
settings for the PC, JAWS, keyboard and message voices these are
nullified
and only the global settings are spoken. The selected settings are
overwritten when I exit the JAWS window either by alt-tab or
insert-f6. Has
anyone else experienced this problem?

2. Now I switched back to JFW3.2.31 and got the voices to keep still
but
Eudora refuses to
work properly... or rather, JFW isn't reading me what I am writing in
Eudora!!! I can hear the words being echoed as I type them now but if
I try
to read the line or previous word or almost anything else, all I get
is
"blank"!!! I'm going out of here and rebooting with my old 3.2.31 and
see
what I can get back to.

3. Okay, I've now rebooted the machine and loaded 3.2 and things read
fine... so far. I've also tried another quick switch between 3.2 and
3.3 I
can read things well with 3.2 and not with 3.3

I am running a Pentium Pro MMX 233 with 64 MB RAM and using a Trident
SVGA
video card.
