Hi Dorothea,
I would suggest that when you wish to reply privately to a list message,
close the message, and go to the inbox. Highlight the message and then
issue the reply to author script. I have found this to be a more reliable
way to reply privately. If you reply privately when you are reading the
message, you might wind up a couple of messages below your intended target.
Issuing the script from the inbox with the message highlighted has worked
best in this situation.
