Hi David,
Eloquence was doing what sounds like the very same thing until I reinstalled
JFW33. It now works great.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi There,
Sure they might make Eloquence shine but these new sb live drivers have
decreased the performance of the Keynote multimedia software synthesiser.
At least they have on my computer. If anyone else is running the Keynote
multimedia software synth and has downloaded and installed the new sb live
drivers, could you let me know if you are having the same problems as me and
the problem is that every time you move the arrow key up or down a line the
first part of the first word on the line does not get spoken properly no
matter where you are in a word processor, text editor, E-mail program etc.
For example: when you move the arrows to explore the desktop "Recycle bin"
becomes "cycle bin". However, if you move back to the icons or words or
line then they get spoken properly. This problem does not occur with any of
the other software synths I have installed on my system.
Kind regards, David.

Subject: new sb liveware drivers and jfw
Hi all.
firstly I wanted to thank the gentleman who told me about disabling the
csinject option in msconfig under win98.
To the jfw users on this list, the new liveware 2.0 drivers for the sb live
really make eloquence shine.
before I installed these new drivers eloquence was very sluggish and
choppy.
Now the new drivers are installed, it speaks at 750 words a minute and when
you chage rate pitch or person in the global voice dialog, it speaks
floorlessly.
these drivers make a big improvement to eloquence and to thosewho are not
sure wether to run the new drivers I suggest that they do so.
Make sure you don't have clean sweeps install monitor enabled.
The best way I know of to not have the monitor running is to uninstall
clean sweep then reinstall after you have installed the new sb live 2.0
drivers.
these drivers are a 28 meg download so use a download manager such as
gozilla or getright.
Hope this info has been of help to people on this list.
