Hi Scott and others,

We have been running the LiveWare 2.0 drivers successfully at home now for
several days. Before that we noticed that the first syllable was being
chopped on some words. We installed JFW33 and the patch again and the
problem went away. The installation of all of the rest of the programs in
this large 26.7 meg download should not cause any problems. The only thing
that seems to get in the way is the Creative Launcher. I am not sure but I
believe you can choose not to install this, but if that isn't the case you
can remove it afterward in add/remove programs. The problem is that it runs
everytime you start Windows. I haven't spent time with to many of the
programs that come with this set, but I have been told that many of them are
not speech friendly at all. One place you can have fun is in the Audio HQ
found in the Control Panel. There are a lot of special effects in there and
its fun. I would say if you don't mind the time it takes to get this rather
large file then go for it. I can't see that you have anything to loose.

Thanks,
Jim

Hi there.
I have had the sb live drivers and programs installed now for 4 days with
no ill effects of any kind.
Ofcourse you do realize I can't guarantee if anything will happen to your
pc.
all pc's are different.
Just try the drivers and see how they go.
I can report they are running fine and if anything my pc runs better with
the new drivers under win98.
