pressing the shift key to skip a line

Now, that I have jfw3.3 with the patch, when I read the instrupcion tape,
Erric said that if you are using the say-all key to read, and you press the
shift key, it would make be able to skip a line if you have say-all set to
read by lines.  Well, when I do it, it does not work, as a matter of fact,
it stops, and starts reading the message over again.  This is in eudora.
Does anybody know about this?
