Hello

At home I use Dial-up networking to connect to Concentric. But at work
I use a shell account and don't have access to a modem.

My question: Can dial-up networking be configured to just talk to the
unix shel through a serial port to do telnet and initiate a ppp
connection?

I believe that if I can get this done I'll have access to my mail on
concentric (I'm using Eudora). Unfortunately Concentric has shut off all
it's shell accounts so that traditional telnet isn't possible as there
are no login shells. The login promps are still there and I'll be in if
I can reach them and get PPP going.

Thanks for any help.
