Adding to favorites in IE 5

Since upgrading to IE 5, I lose speech when I try to add to my favorites
list.  I am using eloquence with JFW 3.3.25.  I don't usually have to
reboot, but I don't get speech back until I press alt-f4 and alt-tab in
succession one or two times.  Does anyone have any idea what's going on here
and how to fix it?  Thanks in advance for your help.
