If you know that you have an attachment to a message, you can always go to
the files menu and scroll down to save attachment. Hit enter; In outlook 98
the default file is my documents, but you can save the attachment wherever
you would like.

Hi Linda and all: Yes, viewing attachments in Outlook 98 is indeed an
issue. When you are arrowing down through your list of messages, and you
come to one which has an attachment, there is a graphic of some sort there.
Problem is, JFW can't find it. Even when you have the mouse directly on the
thing, you can't label it. I don't know why this is. Outlook 2000 is not
any different.
For the most part, you can tell if a message has an attachment, sometimes
from the subject line, or by what the sender says in the body. If you know
for sure there is an attachment, there's another way to get to it. It's a
little tedious, but it's possible.
You're in the message. You press Ctrl-Home to get clear to the top. Then
you press Insert-minus to Route JAWS to PC. Now, you right-arrow over about
six times and press the Right Mouse Button, and the menu should open.
As I said, this is a little tedious, but I've done it and it does work.
We need to ask Microsoft to somehow make that graphic accessible to us. If
it's any comfort, other screen readers can't figure it out either.
Michael
