Kathryn, obviously you must have your Windows mixer set correctly. This is
to say that the microphone is selected in the volume control recording
properties and the microphone volume is set at a good level. The correct
level will depend on your sound card and microphone so you will need to do
some experimentation. A good way to experiment is to use sound recorder to
make some test recordings.

As for Buddyphone itself, the application is very accessible but it is
unorthodox which can confuse people sometimes. Assuming you have started
Buddyphone, what you need to do is press insert+F11 to bring up the JFW
system tray list and locate Buddyphone on that list. Press alt+R to right
click the Buddyphone icon in the system tray, and you'll will have landed
on a context menu. From here, you can choose to connect to a caller, change
[preferences, exit the programme, open the Buddyphone Window and more. If
you open the Buddyphone main window, you'll be able to access a whole bunch
of other worthwhile options by hitting the context key, the one to the left
of the right-hand control key. Also, from within the Buddyphone main
window, control+P will bring up the preferences.

One very important point. Don't exit the programme by hitting alt+F4 from
the main window. Instead, use one of the exit options from the menus. This
is because settings you have changed during the session won't be saved if
you exit with alt+F4.

I hope this helps.

We use Buddyphone on the Blind Line show on ACB Radio so maybe we'll hear
from you sometime.
