Hi,
You can try to set your own virtual memory settings. I had some of the same
problems that you have discussed, and setting my own virtual settings
helped. A special thanks to David Pealman. To do this, you must first:
1. Go to your desk top.
2. {alt+enter} on my computer.
3. {ctrl+tab} until you here "properties".
4. tab until you here "advanced system virtual memory settings".
5. Press Enter on this.
6. You will be presented with two options. First, something like let
windows manage your virtual settings, which is probably already selected.
And the second one, which is the one you should choose, set your own memory
settings. Press enter on this.
7. In this dialog you will be presented with a minimum and a maximum value
for your virtual memory. You should set these both to 2.5 times your on
bored ram. If you have 64 megs of ram, then you should set these values to
160.
8. Press OK. You will then be presented with all sorts of dialogs, because
windows doesn't like for you to set your own virtual memory settings. Just
OK them all and all should be fine. You might have to restart your computer
for these new settings to take affect. Good luck!
