HI.
The way that SMA works is as follows:
If you purchase JFW 3.2 with SMA, you have two upgrades for 3.3 and 3.5. If
you had purchased JFW 3.0 with SMA, then you get upgrades for 3.2 and 3.3 of
jFW and you would have to purchase a new SMA for 3.5 and the next version.
If you had one free SMA and have installed the Beta version of JFW 3.5. You
have not lost your SMA for JFw 3.5, when the release version of JFW 3.5
comes out. The software will install without a problem. What you are
purchasing is an maintenance agreement with HJ. when new versions of the
product are released, you automatically get a new version.
Geoff, I would like to know where you got your information about it being
Illegal in australia to make a beta product available for only those
individuals who are eligible to use the new version of JFW (the next
maintenance of JFW).. since I do not believe that you are buying before you
are trying. by the example you gave below. the user already has the product
and they are buying maintenace agreements to keep there product up to date.
Even if the user doesn't choose to purchase the SMA, they can still trial
the product in demo mode for 40 minutes. therefore the user can decide to
purchase the new version or not, if they don't have a SMA that permits them
to use the latest version of JFw.
Regards
Sean
