I am not defending Advani but I would like to say that if you call Advani a
terrorist then the bigger terrorist is Babar and his entire military force
which razed three major temples- Sri Krishna Temple at Mathura, Vishwanath
Temple in Kashi and Rama Temple in Ayodhya, besides a number of other
temples. It was not the Hindus who initiated such barbaric act first but the
Muslim invaders. It were Hindus who wanted their religious places back and
the BJP used the issue for political mileage.
For Dr Girish Mishra these places may not hold any value but for those who
begin their day with Ram Johar (Ram-Ram or Jai Ramji Ki) and use the name of
lord Rama at the time of performing last rites (Ram Naam Satya Hai), Rama is
as important as their lives. They cannot ignore it. Imagine when pilgrims go
to Ayodhya, Mathura or Kashi and are shown small shanty like spaces
calling the birth place of Rama, Krishna or the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, how
they feel.
I once visited Hampi in Bellary district of Karnataka. The entire area is
now a ruin. The muslim rulers did not spare a single place where they did
not wreak havoc. There used to be a place called Hanumatpada Giri, a place
where Hanuman is believed to have put his feet. The Muslims recently gave a
new name to it by calling it 'Baba Adam Kadam Pahaad'. Tell me who is
errupting communal tension in this case?
