It is another miserable act on the part of Delhi Govt not looking into the
suffering conditions of such manual scavangers in the capital of India.
Although it was banned by law a number of poor people are forced to perform
such inhuman acts in the 21st century. It is a great shame on the part of
Delhi Govt.

This clearly shows that the deranged politicians are playing havoc on the
precious lives of those poor and illierate people in the capital. The
politicians who rule such States should be severely punished for their
untoward acts

There should be a public cry from all sides against such inhuman treatment
meted out to the poor people in the society. We cannot expect a decent and
transparent Govt before the utter corruption to hold the power on the cost
of such suffering citizens who are denied even natural justice given in our
constitution. The wretched politicians are enjoying on the hard work of
nations poor and suffering people.

Shakuntala, Radha, Bala, Santa and Lata were earning through 'Manual
scavenging' work; do you think that they were happy doing this ? They were
not minors and unemployed. Will Union Government, NGOs or Supreme Court
provide them an alternative livelihood ?

If not, irrespective of Manual scavenging is banned or not, we will find
Shakuntalas, Radhas, Balas, Santas and Latas in our neighbourhood.

Please explore in Chennai Ratna Store/Saravana Store or your nearby grocery
store or resturant - in spite of stringent child labor ban, Why Children
below 14 years are still found working ?

For your kind information: The US Government provides unemployment allownce
up to $1200 for 6 months and provides food stamps of abput $240 per month
for poor etc. When you have seen your Government did so ? Some rules are
nice to have but when one is hungry - who cares for rules ?
