Currently, if a binding definition is not fully consistant with the classes it
operates on, generic exceptions (NPEs, class casts...) are thrown from within
the generated code, without additional explanatory information.
It would be nice to have a debug in mode in which more checks are done within
the generated code so that it is easier to track down problems.

I think the 1.0 RC0 changes take care of many of these issues, but there are
still some areas where it applies (such as nulls for text or CDATA values) so
I'm leaving it open and just lowering the priority.
