Ian,
It looks like this is just a dependency problem.
The fix should be pretty simple. I'll fix this as soon as m2e v1.1 is released 
to avoid doing this twice.
If you need this now, try using the JiBX 1.2.4-SNAPSHOT. Instructions are here:
http://jibx.sourceforge.net/maven-jibx-plugin/snapshots.html
Email me a reminder when m2e v1.1 is release and I have this fixed in a snap.
