Hi Jean-Louis,
I'm very aware of the many missed dates for JibxSoap. I've repeatedly
tried to come up with a schedule I can hold to, but so far every time
I've come up short on time to deliver.
My main problem is that JiBX (and JibxSoap) do not pay any bills for me.
The projects have no commercial backers, aside from my own company - and
to the extent I'm working on the open source projects I'm not able to
work on paid projects, which makes my own company's backing more
theoretical than practical. :-) Because of this I handle what I can in
pushing the projects forward, but they often have to suffer because I
need to work on paid projects and other commitments. Lately the
situation has been compounded by my move to another country, which has
meant I've had even less free time. Despite the move I managed to get
out the 1.0 production release of JiBX and the 1.1 beta release, and I
do plan to continue with the work on JibxSoap - but it's very difficult
to say when you'll see a usable release.
Right now I'd need a week of full time work to get JibxSoap to a
reasonable release point which would include hand-code wrapped doc/lit
handling. Taking the next step, to automatic client code generation for
wrapped doc/lit, will require the Xsd2Jibx replacement code. That's only
about 30% complete, and will need another 3 weeks of full time work. But
because I'm also working on paid projects (and articles, and
presentations) part of the time, I'll be doing well if I can just get a
new JibxSoap release out by the end of this month.
JibxSoap has great potential, especially when it comes to speed - the
original performance comparisons show that. If your company has a budget
available to support some of the work it would definitely help move the
project forward. Lacking that, I'll continue to do what I can within the
constraints of time I can donate to the projects.

Hi,
Since the end of 2005, the jibx web site announced a new version of
jibxsoap.
I'm still waiting, but nothing seems to change.
Can you please give some details about you roadmap.
I'm looking for a SOAP framework with hi performance so I'm interested on
jibxsoap.
Best regards,
