The Xsd2Jibx replacement code which is part of the 1.2 code in CVS can 
generate arrays rather than Lists (it actually has three choices: array, 
untyped list, and Java 5 typed list). Unfortunately there's not much 
documentation available for this yet, but I'll try to at least get some 
documentation in place by this weekend.
