Hello Jifty hackers, We're thrilled to announce that the development of jquery branch is considered good enough to be merged to trunk. The merge will be done recently. This is a re-implementation work for front-end code of jifty, no revisions is done at the backend.
Besides re-implemented core jifty javascript functions with jQuery, the most major update is the removal of prototye.js and scriptaculous.js. Replaced with jQuery and a iautocompleter jQuery plugin, reduced core javascript size about 132K. If you have written come custom javascript code for your jifty applicaiton, please read Jifty::Manual::jQueryMigrationGuide first before updating your application. If you are a jifty hacker, please read Jifty::Manual::JavaScript for all update details about this work. Be sure to check your application, see if it can work with the jQuery branch well.
