No, the jigsaw/m2 forest has the changes for the modular run-time images
(JEP 220), not the module system.
The journey that we on is mapped out in JEP 200 [1].
The modular source code and build is JEP 201 and that went into JDK 9 a
few months ago.
The current effort is the modular run-time images (JEP 220). This is
what is accumulating in the jigsaw/m2 forest now. We'd like to get that
into JDK 9 this year if possible.
Once that is out of the way then it's onto the module system which will
be another JEP and of course will have a JSR to define it too.
