I am working on a shared CentOS system with a file in 
/usr/lib64/libsnappy.so... I don't know how else to tell if I have snappy. I'm 
using arrow to read parquet files that (I think) are not compressed with snappy.

Also the issue is also present with R 3.6.3 and 3.6.2.
