Currently, our code works as follows:
1. Declare a UDF via {{udf::ScalarFunction}}
2. Register the UDF
3. call {{scalar_function("name", vec![...], type)}} to use it during planning.
However, during planning, we:
1. Get the ScalarFunction by name
2. convert it to FunctionMetadata
3. get the ScalarFunction associated with FunctionMetadata's name
I.e. {{FunctionMetadata}} does not seem to be needed.
Goal: remove {{FunctionMetadata}} and just pass {{udf::ScalarFunction}}
directly from the registry to the physical plan.
