Yes it could be great to have a branch named "java-tools" or something like
that. Then we could have this branch on our forks and working on our personal
repo (copy of the Kafka repo). The only problem for being aligned on changes
should be having our PRs (from fork to origin) merged.
But the bigger problem is that I'm not committer so I can't create a branch in
the original repo or merge PRs from our forks.
We need help from project committers.
