We recommend Linux and macOS as we test under those platforms. We try to fix 
issues on Windows on a best effort basis, but it's easy to regress without 
automated tests and due to Windows' unique behaviour when it comes to the file 
system. Finally, older versions also have issues. An example is KAFKA-5165, but 
there are others.
