Yep, I've voted. The references that I've seen on the Internet are somewhat
dated and apply to an older version of NFS which is why I'm asking the
question. It's fine if 'not recommended', but our customer using Kafka has
tested performance for their load successfully and changing from NFS (private
cloud implementation) is not a short term option. They are probably willing to
live with some 'pain', but don't want to see that it is completely unworkable
somewhere down the line while they consider extending their private cloud with
other options.
