Hi [~vvakati] . Unfortunately, it makes no sense to work on this one yet. If
you check the 'Fix Version/s' field you'll see 4.0.0.
In order to remove a deprecated method, 2 things need to happen:
* The method needs to be deprectaed for a 12 months
* It needs to be a major release.
If you would work on this, it couldn't be release until 4.0.0 would be in the
making. And I think this might still be several months away (maybe in a year
time). Right now 3.3.0 is in the makings. And trunk is what will possibly
become 3.4.0.
